On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,230. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.266 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 7,447.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.804 billion followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 681.366 million, WTI Crude Oil PKR 551.831 million, Silver PKR 401.723 million, NSDQ100 PKR 259.345 million, Platinum PKR 244.872 million, Palladium PKR 149.559 million, SP500 PKR 60.743 million, DJ PKR 59.651 million, Copper PKR 27.653 million, Natural Gas PKR 19.148 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 5.646 million. In agriculture 3 lots of Wheat valued at PKR 11.413 million and 9 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 4.406 million were traded.
